This weekend we went up to the Bay Area. Knowing Seth loves animals, my dad brought a bunch of chickens over from the school FFA farm to the house so Seth could hang out with some poultry. At first the other kids were hesitant to get too close, but as usual, Seth had no fear. He went right up and gave the poor bird a bear hug. The other kids then joined in the fun, assuming that if a 2 year old could do it, they probably could too. You can check out these pics, or this video:

Seth is such a rad kid. I'm still afraid to pick up a live chicken! Maybe he'll have a special way with animals, he'll be an "animal talker."

this is too funny. what kid picks up a chicken and gives it a bear hug? It's not like they look all cuddly and sweet! Our friends have chickens and my girls refuse to go in their backyard anymore, or even get out of the car when we pull up in the driveway if any of the chickens are in sight. Your kid is awesome.

I'm not a huge commenter on blogs, but this one was too funny! I even got scared of picking up a chicken while watching that video.
